POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS FOR DIFFICULT INSTALLATIONS
I have a thin depth door and the outside letter plate when pushed inwards is long. Will it interfere with the working of Ecoflap?
No, just ask for one of our widgets. Easy to clip on. When a delivery is posted through, the widget automatically lifts Ecoflap at the same time preventing contact with your outside plate. N.B Although a small proportion of our clients have asked for help re. this, we will be automatically enclosing a widget... soon.
The bolts of my outside letter plate come through just where they would meet the Ecoflap flange
Either recess the bolts or "picutre frame" over the bolts and fix Ecoflap to this.
My letter box hole is just a little too high to take the top middle screw. it'll fix into nothing!
Place on the screw cap for aesthetic reasons and use the other 5 screw holes - or adhere with sealant
My letter box hole bottom ledge is too high on a narrow cross bar of my door (a glazed door) therefore the top flange would cover the glass
Remove the top flange edge and adhere to the door. Apply screw caps to the remaining screw holes for aesthetic appearance. Ecoflap would also function without removal of the flange if adhered to the door - the top flange however would overhang the glass pane.
My letter box hole is too short in width to take the locating lip when fitting Ecoflap?
Just carefully snip a little off the lip with nail scissors or similar.
My door has an irregular surface
Use the adhering method of fixing Ecoflap. Bathroom or kitchen sealant will mold itself into the irregularities making for a good seal.

Remember to check the measurements and shape against your existing letter box hole before ordering.

Try not to overtighten the middle top screw. It could distort the Ecoflap frame.
