If an exterior metal plate of either this design, or one of conventional design is in place, this
interior plate will act as a barrier to any thermal flow of cold air from the exterior metal plate.
When the delivery is completed, both plates will firmly shut.
Neither plate will rattle letting in the cold air A cavity is created with no air flow.
Draught is not only created from outside coming in, but there can be “through”
draught in the house caused by other doors or windows opening and banging. THE BACK
PLATE will not allow “through” draught by remaining SHUT
